Neun Kilometer südwestich von Bethlehem liegt das von israelischen Siedlungen umgebene Anwesen der palästinensisch-christlichen Familie Nassar, auf dem Daoud Nassar seit dem Jahr 2000 das Tent of Nations aufgebaut hat. Ein Freizeit- und Begegnungszentrum, überwiegend für Jugendliche, das für die Verständigung und den Frieden zwischen Menschen aus verschiedenen Ländern und Kulturen wirbt.
Am 27. Mai tauchten auf dem Anwesen israelische Beamte auf, um eine Verfügung zu überbringen, die Daoud Nassar zwingen soll, neun Einrichtungen bzw. Gebäudeteile auf seinem Grund abzureissen, für die er keine Baugenehmigungen vorweisen kann - da israelische Behörden Palästinenser niemals Baugenehmigungen ausstellen.
Wenn Sie Daoud Nassar helfen wollen, schreiben Sie bitte Protestbriefe an die israelische Botschaft und an das israelische Aussenministerium.

1. Juni 2010: Neues vom Weinberg
Hallo zusammen, heute erreichte uns folgende Mail aus Palästina:
Dear friends of Tent of Nations all over the world,
Thank you so much for your prayers and for the advocacy letters you sent on behalf of us to your government, Embassies and to the Israeli officials and government. It is wonderful to see how many people in the world are committed to work for justice and do care about us and about the Tent of Nations.
Since Thursday, the day we received the nine demolishing orders and until today, Monday the 31st of May 10.00 pm, we are still under pressure hoping that the Army won’t come and destroy our structures. Sunday and Monday were two long days for us, but thank God no destruction or dismantling of any developments or renovations took place.
It is wonderful to see how many people came to visit us yesterday and today to show their solidarity with us. We pray and hope that things will change and the sun of justice will rise again.
Our lawyer appealed to stop the demolishing orders, he sent the Appeal by Fax to the Israeli military authority and got the confirmation that it was received. Our situation will continue to be critical and our structures will continue to be under threat of destruction until we receive a paper from the military authority says that our Appeal is being accepted.
The letters of advocacy that were sent to political officials in many countries and the fast reaction of our attorney who immediately challenged the demolition order in the Israeli court are the two strategies we are following to challenge and stop the demolishing orders. With your prayers and support, we are sure that we will succeed.
It is a big support for the Tent of Nations to have so many friends all over the world who are standing against this injustice. Please remember that Faith, love and hope are keeping our spirit high and are giving us the strength to continue this just struggle and we will never give up.

28. 5. 2010: Was können wir tun?

Der lutheranische Bischof von Jerusalem wurde schon vom israelischen Außenministerium angerufen. Sie wollten von ihm wissen was da bei Bethlehem los ist. Je mehr Schreiben dort eingehen um so besser. Ja, macht das. Unser Mittel hier in Deutschland sind mehr als begrenzt, aber vielleicht gelingt es ja, auch nur ansatzweise so etwas wie öffentlichen Druck herzustellen. Die Verantwortlichen sollen wissen, dass man sehr wohl zusieht!

28. 5. 2010: Lage spitzt sich zu!
Hallo zusammen, heute nacht erreichte uns folgende Meldung von Daoud Nasser:
Liebe Freunde von Zelt der Völker weltweit,
heute (27.5.2019) nachmittag um 14:00 Uhr kamen zwei Beamte der israelischen Bürgerverwaltung (Israeli Civil Administration) begleitet von zwei israelischen Soldaten auf die Farm und gaben und NEUN Abrissbefehle für neun Gebäudestrukturen, die wir in den letzten Jahren ohne Erlaubnis der israelischen Militärbehörde gebaut haben. Diese Abrissbefehle sind für: Zelte, Tierunterstände, die Metalldächer vor den beiden alten Häusern, die Toiletten, eine Wasserzisterne, ein Metallcontainer und 2 unterirdisch renovierte Höhlen. Ein Beamter schrieb die Abrissverfügungen, während der andere Bilder mit zwei Kameras machte. Die Soldaten folgten ihnen überall hin und zielten mit ihren Waffen auf uns.
Die Abrissverfügungen waren in Hebräisch geschrieben und ich habe mich geweigert, diese zu unterzeichnen. Wir haben nur drei Tage um gegen diese Befehle einzuschreiten. Der Zeitpunkt, uns über diese Abrisse zu informieren, war gut geplant und absichtlich an einem Donnerstag. Es ist für uns schwierig , die Abrissbefehle durch ein israelisches Gericht zu stoppen, da jetzt das jüdische Wochenende (Freitag und Samstag) beginnt. Die Idee dahinter ist, es uns unmöglich zu machen, schnell zu reagieren.
Ich habe unseren Anwalt kontaktiert und er wird am Sonntagmorgen beim Militärgericht Einspruch erheben. Wir hoffen durch unseren Anwalt am Sonntag ein Dokument vom Gericht zu bekommen, um die Abrisse zu stoppen.
Wir bitten euch darum, bereit zu sein, zu reagieren, sollte irgendetwas passieren. Wir werden euch weiterhin informieren und sagen, was ihr machen könnt. Bitte leitet diese Nachricht auch an eure Freunde weiter.

Today at 2.00 pm in the afternoon, 2 officers form the Israeli Civil Administration guarded by Israeli soldiers came to our farm and gave us NINE demolishing orders for nine ( structures) we built in the last years without a building permit from the Israeli Military Authority. The demolishing orders are for: tents, animals shelters, metal roof in front of both old houses, the restrooms (Shelters) , a water cistern, a metal container and 2 underground renovated cave structures. One officer was writing the demolishing orders and the other was taking pictures with two cameras, Israeli soldiers were following them everywhere and pointing their guns on us.
The demolishing orders were written in Hebrew and I refused to sign receiving them. We have 3 days only to react against those demolishing orders. The timing for delivering the demolishing orders was plant properly and purposely on Thursday, in order to make it difficult for us to try to stop those orders by the Israeli court within 3 days, because of the Jewish weekend (Friday and Saturday). The idea is to make it impossible for us to act quickly. I contacted our Lawyer and he will write an opposition and send it to the military court on Sunday morning. We hope to get a paper from the court through our Lawyer on Sunday morning to stop the demolishing orders.
We would like to ask you to be prepared and alert for actions, if anything might happen. We will keep you updated and will guide you for actions but please forward this E-mail to your friends.

CPT - was ist das?
Christian Peacemaker Teams (CPT) (auf deutsch Christliche Friedensstifter Teams) ist eine von den historischen Friedenskirchen (Mennoniten, Church of the Brethren und Quäker) ausgehende Initiative, die ausgebildete Friedensfachkräfte in Konfliktregionen entsendet. Die Christian Peacemaker Teams wurden aus der Erkenntnis heraus gegründet, dass christliche Pazifisten auch bereit sein sollten, in Krisengebieten Verantwortung zu übernehmen. Neben dem Irak gibt es derzeit CPT-Teams in Barrancabermeja (in Kolumbien), Hebron und At-Tuwani (in Palästina), Kenora (in Ontario/Kanada) und an der Grenze von Mexiko und den USA.
Auch für 2010 gibt es für Interessierte die Möglichkeit, an sog. Delegationen teilzunehmen (Kolumbien, Palästina, Irak). Mehr Informationen dazu folgen noch.

Termine "Zelt der Völker"
Am Mittwoch, 14. April treffen wir uns um 20 Uhr im Gemeindezentrum, um das Wochenende 30. April bis 2. Mai 2010 zu planen.

Palästinareise Pfingsten 2010 - Kaminabend
Alle Palästina-Reiseinteressierten sind ganz herzlich zu einem Kaminabend im Hause Neufeld eingeladen - am Montag, 22. Februar 2010 ab 19.30 Uhr. Für kleine Snacks und Getränke wird gesorgt. Wir wollen an diesem Abend unsere Reisepläne nach Israel/Palästina um Pfingsten herum besprechen und die Reisedaten festlegen, damit wir noch günstig an Flüge herankommen.
